We are looking for an event coordinator, who will work with our core management team to focus on maximizing our events and corporate business. The candidate must have an incomparable know-how of organizing events and excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with guests and cultivate ongoing relationships with key clients abroad as well as in Nepal.
This is a key position within the restaurant. You will be responsible for uplifting and maintaining brand image of Le Sherpa in every aspect with the support of our management team. You will be responsible for events from conception to clean up, so attention to detail, focus and impeccable organizational skills are required.
You must be a team player with outstanding communication skills with an excellent command in written and spoken English.
This job also encompasses a public relations role. As Le Sherpa’s PR coordinator, you will be the face of our brand, representing Le Sherpa for interviews, liaising with press and media, sending out press releases and email updates and working with our social media manager to maximize public exposure and promote our overall brand image.
Work with the management team in developing and planning yearly events.
Coordinate with clients, understanding their needs and successfully executing the events by making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Handle any crisis that may arise.
Maintain and update database of clients and past events to continuously improve our quality of service.
Create budget with the management to meet monthly sales targets.
Promotion and marketing of private catering business.
Create and design new event concepts.
Social media coordination with our social media manager.
Responsible for creating event brochures with our designers.
Manage and maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with our clients, in the Nepali and expat communities and abroad as well as agents.
Bachelor’s degree running or completed.
Three to five years of experience in similar position.
Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills.
Strong people skills, and customer focused attitude.
High level of communication skills in Nepali and English.
Adaptable to business and team needs and changes.
Attention to detail, strong organizational ability.
Ability to work under pressure.
